Divemaster Candidate

Our Divemaster Candidate (DMC) program can be a game changing stepping stone in becoming a NAUI Divemaster or/and a NAUI instructor. The program is structured to play an instrumental role in developing leadership abilities, qualifying you to supervise dive activities and assisting instructors with student divers in the classroom.

As a DMC, you will volunteer for pool and quarry sessions and assist instructors in training student divers. A lot of learning will come from shadowing our staff and gradually taking on more responsibility as your divemaster training progresses. Another advantage of the program is that it offers significant discounts to DMCs to complete essential advanced certifications and training.

While the program demands a continual time commitment, there is a huge focus on fun. Diving is meant to be fun and safe. Hence, you will develop skills that ensure the safety of your divers without taking away the fun.

The program is exceedingly rewarding as it not only offers ample dive training, but also because of the awesome number of people you will have the opportunity to meet and work with. Our current instructors and DMCs come from diverse backgrounds, speak multiple languages, and are some of the most friendly and interesting people in Chicago.

If you are a certified diver looking to enhance your scuba experience, our volunteer DMC program may change your life as it did for all of us. All we ask for is your time.

If you have additional questions please don't hesitate to contact us below to learn more about the DMC program.
