Advanced Open Water Certification
Prerequisite: Advanced Open Water Certification, must be 15 years old or older
Advanced Open Water (AOW) is for certified divers looking to advance their scuba training. Advanced scuba skills included buoyancy, navigation, mapping, deep, wreck, and search and recovery. Individuals certified with AOW can dive up to 130 feet.
Course Requirements:
- NAUI eLearning of fundamental scuba concepts
- A minimum of one confined water (pool) session as refresher of Open Water skills; we may ask you to attend more than one pool session
- Six open water dives (check-out) with completion of Advanced skills
Materials needed:
- Diving Mask
- Snorkel
- Boots
- Scuba fins
- Underwater flashlight / torch
- Hood
- Gloves
- Surface Marker Buoy
- Water-resistant timepiece rated to a minimum of 100m / 300ft
