Local Dive Trips
Several times each summer, LSC packs up our big RV and heads out for a weekend to nearby dive sites. Our camping trips have taken us all over the Midwest, from the old underwater mines outside of St. Louis to beautiful Door County in Wisconsin. When we’re not exploring deep waters, you find us gathered around campfires playing games and grilling out. Better than s’mores, Aaron’s famous peanut butter chocolate bananas are not to be missed! These trips are great because they don’t require the time and monetary commitment of trips to warmer climates. No airplanes, hotels, or fussing involved. We head out on Friday and come home Sunday—the perfect way to get some diving in and experiencing some amazing Midwest beauty. We typically do wreck dives on these adventures, and in the cold, fresh waters of Lake Michigan and surrounding waterways are the perfect environment to see some AWESOME wrecks. They are well preserved!
Check out our trips coming up in 2016!

Our first scuba camping trip will be from June 26 through June 28 in a small town just outside of St. Louis. Join Learn Scuba Chicago (LSC) as we explore the underwater mines of Bonne Terre. We planned this adventure to coincide with Bonne Terre’s annual charity drive treasure hunt. You don’t need any special training or certification – simple Open Water Certification – everything will be provided to allow you to explore these well lite mystical caverns. LSC will offer special discounts on new drysuit gear and drysuit training for anyone ready to become the envy of the group. We will be camping at St. Francois State Park.
