NAUI Advanced Scuba Diver / Junior Advanced Scuba Diver – $340

NAUI LogoLet your underwater adventure continue! Apply your scuba skills as you explore new dive sites and activities under the supervision and training of your NAUI Instructor. Learn which diving specialties interest you, and what type of diving you enjoy most. Gain more confidence and capability. Begin to consider the direction diving will take you, as you go for everything it has to offer.

The Advanced Scuba Diver course is an enjoyable certification course for certified divers who desire additional training, have moved from one diving area to another and desire local orientation, do not have, but wish to obtain, NAUI certification, or who desire orientation to a variety of diving sites and conditions.

The cost of the Advanced Scuba Diver course includes the NAUI eLearning program which allows you to cover the academic materials at your own pace and in your own time. The cost also includes scuba equipment rental as well as an underwater flashlight and writing slate. The course fee does not include the use of mask, fins, and snorkel or admission to the quarry.

As part of your certification, you will complete a minimum of six open water dives including three separate dives for navigation, night or low visibility diving and deep diving (130 feet/40 meters maximum depth, 60 feet for Jr Divers), plus three different dives. PADI Advanced Open Water — $365

The course helps build confidence and refine your skills through different specialties.

Must be PADI Open Water or NAUI Scuba Diver certified (all agencies welcome), 12 years or older, with no major medical issues.

Knowledge Development

You’ll receive a PADI Advanced Open Water book, which you’ll need to read in its entirety. You’ll choose a total of five dives from these options – Deep(required), Underwater Navigation(required), Peak Performance Buoyancy, Search and Recovery, Underwater Naturalist, Wreck Adventure Dives and Underwater Photography

Open Water

  • 5 Open Water dives (2 days at the quarry)
You will need your own mask, fins and snorkel. For your Open Water dives, you will need a watch that is waterproof up to 120 feet, and a safety signal. You can purchase gear from a variety of brands, styles and price ranges directly from Learn Scuba Chicago’s shop. All other necessary gear will be provided for training sessions.
